Rob Randell
TECHNOLOGY STRATEGY AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
With more than 25 years in the industry, Rob is an experienced technology leader and strategic decision maker with a proven track record of managing global teams and handling diverse portfolios of products. Skilled at implementing and driving change, both imposed and team-led, he has also experienced change himself, not least while working for a unicorn start-up that was bought by EMC, itself then bought out by Dell – big shifts which unsurprisingly resulted in equally significant system upheaval.
His professional experience, coupled with his academic interest in psychology and software engineering have been intrinsic in Rob’s understanding that there is no single way to manage change, but there are certainly better ways to include an organisation, its technology and, most importantly, its people in the completion of a successful transformation.
UN1TY's Sustainability Reporting
At UN1TY, we know that you can't manage what you don't measure, which is why we have been measuring our carbon footprint annually since 2022. From the results of these reports, we've set achievable and ambitious goals to ensure that we continue to work towards minimising our carbon footprint as much as possible.
Our operational emissions in Scopes 1 and 2 have remained consistently low since we began reporting, with the majority of emissions being comprised of value chain emissions in Scope 3. We are proud that these remain minimal, with our latest report showing that our measured carbon footprint came to 1.06 tCO2e, translating to 0.26 tCO2e per full-time equivalent (FTE). Since 2022, we have maintained our position as reporting the lowest per FTE operations emissions when benchmarked against comparable organisations.
We have taken to heart the valuable feedback and recommendations that these reports provide, and applied this practically, by setting goals to tackle both our most significant contributors to our carbon footprint - our employee commute and work from home emissions - and easily achievable reductions - our waste management. In this way, we ensure that we strive continuously to ensure that our work habits have as little environmental impact as possible.
